Back2School Outreach ’25
On August 2nd, 2025, Heart of Gold Support & Care Initiative went live in Uromi, Edo State for one of the most joyful and impactful days of the year , the Back2School Outreach ’25.
School bells were ringing, and HOGSCI made sure every child in our reach was ready to answer the call, armed with supplies, hope, and the knowledge that someone cares about their future.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Education is the single most powerful investment we can make in a child’s future and yet for thousands of children across Nigeria, the start of a new school term brings anxiety instead of excitement, because their families simply cannot afford the basics.
The Back2School Outreach ’25 was HOGSCI’s answer to that reality. We showed up in Uromi with school bags, stationery, and supplies and more importantly, with the message that these children are seen, valued, and worthy of every opportunity education can offer.
This outreach is part of HOGSCI’s flagship Back to School programme, which has now supported over 1,280 children since its very first edition growing from 5 children in year one to hundreds each year.
WHAT WAS DISTRIBUTED
Every child who came through the Back2School Outreach ’25 received:
- 🎒 School bags and backpacks
- 📓 Notebooks and exercise books
- 🖊️ Pens, pencils, and stationery sets
- 📐 Additional school supplies and learning tools
