Supporting Education with School Supplies

At Heart of Gold Support & Care Initiative (HOGSCI), we believe that education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. However, many children from underprivileged backgrounds lack the basic materials needed to succeed in school. During our outreach in Uromi, we took a step toward changing this by providing essential school supplies to students in need.

What We Provided:

School Bags & Writing Materials
Many children go to school without the basic tools they need to learn. We provided school bags, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, and exercise books, ensuring that students can take notes, complete assignments, and stay organized.

Textbooks & Notebooks
Having the right books is crucial for academic success. We donated textbooks and notebooks tailored to different school levels, helping students study effectively and keep up with their curriculum.

School Uniforms & Shoes
For many students, attending school in worn-out or improper clothing affects their confidence and willingness to learn. We provided new school uniforms and shoes to ensure they feel comfortable and included.

Lunch Boxes & Water Bottles
Proper nutrition is essential for concentration and energy in school. We distributed lunch boxes and water bottles to encourage healthy eating habits and hydration among students.

Scholarship & School Fee Assistance
Beyond providing materials, we also supported some students with school fee assistance, ensuring that financial difficulties do not hinder their education.

Why This Matters

Access to quality education should not be a privilege; it is a right. Unfortunately, many families cannot afford even the most basic school supplies, leading to poor academic performance or students dropping out entirely. By equipping these children with essential materials, we are giving them the tools they need to learn, dream, and work toward a better future.
