Heart of Gold Support & Care Initiative proudly presents the Empower to Bloom Project ’25 — a powerful empowerment initiative dedicated to uplifting young people and widows in the Uromi community, Edo State.

This is not just an event.

A deliberate, heartfelt commitment to making sure that every young person with a dream and every widow rebuilding their life has the support, tools, and community they need to truly bloom.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

At HOGSCI, we believe that true empowerment reaches everyone regardless of age, gender, or circumstance. The Empower to Bloom Project ’25 was designed with two groups at the centre:

Young People — those standing at the crossroads of potential and opportunity, who simply need the right nudge, the right tools, and someone to believe in them.

Widows — resilient, strong individuals who have faced tremendous loss and yet continue to show up for their families and communities every single day. They deserve more than sympathy. They deserve empowerment.

Together, we came to Uromi to do exactly that.

WHAT HAPPENED ON THE DAY

The atmosphere in Uromi on December 13th was electric. HOGSCI team members, volunteers, and partners filled the space with energy, warmth, and purpose. Beneficiaries arrived to a programme packed with:

• ✅ Skills empowerment sessions
• ✅ Mentorship and motivational talks
• ✅ Distribution of resources and support materials
• ✅ Networking and community building
• ✅ Partnership opportunities for organisations who want to get involved

It was a day that reminded everyone present — you are not forgotten. You matter. And you have what it takes to bloom.
